Memory Space

Artist Statement:

My work is rooted in digital photography and printed media, using the camera to translate internal emotion into visual form. I capture real moments, then reshape them through light, color, and tone to reflect how something feels rather than how it appears.

I work with a digital camera and use Lightroom and Photoshop as extensions of the process. Editing is interpretive—softening, shifting, and simplifying the image to build atmosphere and emotional weight.

I’m interested in memory as something we return to, trying to understand it. My images sit in that space—foggy, blurred, and uncertain, yet familiar. They are meant to feel just out of reach, but difficult to leave behind.

Each photograph functions as a fragment of an internal narrative, inviting a quiet, shared recognition without offering full clarity.

Installation Notes:

The work is presented as printed photographic pieces on matte archival photo paper. The matte surface is intentionally chosen to reduce reflection and allow the images to exist softly within a space, without interference from external light. 

Each print is framed in simple, minimal frames that do not distract from the image itself. The framing is kept understated so the work can remain focused on mood, light, and emotional texture. 

Installation is intentionally straightforward. Each piece is designed to be easily hung using a nail or wall hook.
