Resources & Guides

Does time of day really matter? YES!

Bright/Airy

  • Early morning or afternoon when the sun is high in the sky and there is not much cloud coverage will result in bright and airy images. These can still be on the warmer side but tend to look cooler due to how bright it is outside.

Dark & Moody

  • Classic Golden Hour
  • Late afternoon early evening usually during sunset and after sunset. The light is much warmer here and less abrasive. Allowing for more dreamy and warm images.

Dreamy

  • Blue Hour
  • After sunset but before nightfall. A great time to experiment with props and dark coloring. This can be a more cinematic outlook.

Notice:

Golden Hour and Blue Hour both vary depending on season, we can easily look this up to find the best times for the type of look you want!
