Daniel Blake
Hey There!
Photography has always been more than just a creative outlet for me; it’s how I make sense of memory. Ever since I first picked up a camera as a teenager, I’ve been drawn to the idea that a photo can hold emotion, time, and story all at once; that it can preserve the fleeting things we never want to forget.
I’ve learned to see beauty in the details that often go unnoticed; the quiet gestures, the in-between moments, the kind of love that feels both ordinary and extraordinary. That’s what I try to capture in my work: real emotion.
I’m deeply inspired by romanticism; not just in the sense of love, but in the feeling of holding onto something meaningful. I believe photographs aren’t just for the moment; they’re for the years ahead, the people we’ll become, and the stories we’ll share with those we love.
I’m constantly learning and evolving as an artist. I rarely stop creating or experimenting, because I believe growth is endless; there’s always something new to discover. That curiosity is what keeps my work fresh and personal. I care deeply about what I create, and I want that care to come through in every image. My goal isn’t to produce something cookie-cutter, but something that truly reflects who you are; and the beauty that exists in your story.
Recent Conceptual Piece
Below, I will keep this up to date with my most recent conceptual self portrait.
This piece was inspired by my ongoing therapeutic parts work. There is a single room at the end of a hallway within a large dilapidated building in my head. This room emanates a red light from time to time. It is extremely enticing, and anxiety educing.
