What is it?
Storytelling sessions are all about capturing the heart of your everyday; the quiet, imperfect, beautiful moments that make your story yours. Whether that looks like a picnic under the trees, creating a bouquet together, baking cookies in your kitchen, or playing tag in the park, these sessions are meant to feel like life unfolding naturally. I’ll gently guide when needed, but mostly, I’m there to observe and preserve the laughter, warmth, and connection as it happens. Based in the Hudson Valley, NY, and available for travel beyond.

These sessions are for couples, families, or anyone who wants to celebrate connection; including pets, creative projects, or solo moments of reflection.
How is it different from a standard portrait session?
Unlike traditional portrait sessions that center around posing and direction, storytelling sessions are relaxed and immersive. They’re perfect for anyone who feels shy in front of the camera, or who wants images that feel alive and natural. Most of the time, you’ll forget I’m even there, and that’s where the magic happens!
What to expect:
We’ll chat beforehand to dream up an idea that feels true to you. Maybe a morning baking at home, a sunset picnic, or a day at the fair.
On the day of your session, there’s no pressure or rush. I’ll gently guide when needed, but mostly, I’ll photograph the in-between moments, the laughter, glances, and gestures that tell your story best.

Every session is tailored to you. We’ll plan an activity that feels true to your story; baking, picnicking, exploring a park, or creating something together; and I’ll quietly capture the moments as they happen. You won’t need to worry about awkward poses; my approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, letting you forget I’m even there. By the end, you’ll have a collection of images that feel alive, genuine, and entirely you.
How to prepare:
No posing experience needed. Just bring yourselves and a little curiosity. Pick activities, outfits, or props that feel natural, and let the day unfold. (I will also certainly help you in this process) The little personal touches you bring make your story uniquely yours.

Every session includes a pre-session consultation, a personalized plan for your day, and a curated gallery of beautifully edited images you’ll cherish forever that are easy to share, download and purchase prints or books from directly.
