Finding the Right Photographer for YOU!

So you're getting married — first of all, congratulations! Second of all (even if you're not getting married, this all still applies to hiring the right photographer for you!) If you’re here, you’re probably swimming in wedding checklists, and Pinterest boards. It’s exciting… and a little overwhelming.

Let’s talk about something that matters just as much as the photos themselves: the person behind the camera! (Hopefully me!)

This Isn't Just Business, It's Personal.

Choosing a wedding photographer isn’t just about style or budget (though yes, those matter!). It’s about connection. You’re inviting someone into one of the most intimate, emotional, and joy-filled days of your life. You want someone you vibe with — someone who just gets it. This also pertains to ANY kind of photoshoot, not JUST weddings! So if you are also seeking someone for more than a wedding photoshoot, I can be that person too.

Let's make sure you get the photoshoot of your dreams, no matter the scenario. I'm willing to bounce ideas off each other, get creative and innovative.

Let me introduce a little bit more about who's behind this camera.

Here's the truth:

Photography isn’t my full-time job. But it is my full-time passion.

I work full-time elsewhere — I know, It's unfortunate I can't just do my passion for work, but not fully diving into it full time allows for the passion of the work to continue to burn! Currently, Photography is not my living — but I need it to live.

I’m an artist first hand, since I was 15 with my first camera. But always before that drawing, and lately I've been learning how to water color.

Not only do I enjoy art, but I am also a partner who facilitates love on a daily basis, a plant collector, a Pokémon card nerd, and the very proud parent of a cat and two dumpy tree frogs. (Seriously, ask me about them.)

I also work hand-in-hand with my LGBTQ+ community, I grew my photo career from late night Drag shows, because that’s not just something I support — it’s something I live. Your identity, your love, your truth — all of it deserves to be seen and celebrated automatically. And that’s exactly what I aim to do. No questions asked. (Except maybe some questions about inspiration for my future weddings of course).

More than just weddings.

Weddings are a big part of what I do — but they’re not the whole story.

I photograph elopements, portrait sessions, pets, drag shows, and even conceptual work — whether we’re out in the middle of the woods at peak golden hour or inside a moody studio creating something surreal.

I love variety because it keeps me creatively sharp and emotionally connected. Whether it’s your dog’s slobbery smile, your quiet moment under the stars, or an avant-garde shot with dramatic lighting and renaissance fair garb — I’m here for all of it.

Photography, to me, is about capturing soul, not just surface. During my early career, I even called my work "The Soul Factory"...kind of cheesy I know but it felt right.

More than just the average photo.

Sure, I’ll give you dreamy portraits, joyful candids, and details you didn’t even know I caught. But my goal goes beyond that.

I want you to look at your wedding (or elopement, or portrait session!) gallery and say:

“I am STUNNING and MAGICAL” but also I want you to have that one or two picture framed like a giant painting on your living room wall.

That comes from trust, comfort, and a genuine connection. I’m not about stiff poses or overdone filters. I will get you moving, comfortable, and proud of yourself.

And I work hard to make sure I blend in, cheer you on, and capture it all — without making you feel like you're stuck in front of a camera and fake smiling until your cheeks hurt.

We can even go extremely outside the box and create the fantasy photoshoot of your dreams! I am open to any concepts you may have an idea for, and I am here to make it work.

So...am I the right photographer for you?

If you're looking for someone who will show up with curiosity, creativity, and care…

If you're someone who wants to feel seen, not just posed…

If you're someone who values personality as much as professionalism…

Then we might just be a perfect match.

Let's talk. Let’s share pet stories. Let’s talk travel dreams and playlists. Let’s make sure your photographer feels less like a vendor, and more like someone who belongs by your side — whether that’s on your wedding day, your anniversary shoot, or just by your side as you watch your furry best friend be themselves.

Let's talk details and more!

Please feel free to reach out with ANY questions you may have. Even if you have NO idea what direction you want to go with your photoshoot, I am more than happy to plan it through with you.
